NOPLA® is a biodegradable and compostable biogranulate made from non-artificial potato starch, with the starch remaining chemically unmodified. It can be used to produce finished products through injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming on existing machine parks. Products made from NOPLA® are not considered plastic, offering a sustainable alternative for various applications.
NOPLA® products are:
- Patented: the patent protects the breakthrough method of preparing the starch mixture without chemical modification
- Innovative: the object of the invention is a method of obtaining TPS thermoplastic starch solely through mechanical
- Biodegradable: NOPLA® and its end products are biodegradable in the aquatic environment and soil
- (Home) Compostable: NOPLA® biogranulates and their end products compost under both industrial composting and home composting conditions (confirmed by tests and certificates obtained from TUV Austria)
