Aevum Vita 406 is a mild, naturally derived surfactant for use in cosmetic products with excellent antimicrobial and foaming properties.

Aevum Vita 406 exhibits anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, allowing formulators to reduce or even eliminate the preservative content from their formulations. Furthermore, Aevum Vita 406 shows excellent anti-dandruff and anti-acne activities. And as a PEG-free anionic surfactant with excellent foaming properties, it is ideally suited for use in baby shampoos, skin friendly hand washes and natural cosmetic formulations.
 

Aevum Vita 406 as anti-dandruff active ingredient


Aevum Vita 406 shows very good anti-fungal activity against Malassezia Furfur, which has been shown to cause dandruff on the scalp. Many existing issues with common anti-dandruff actives can be solved with the use of Aevum Vita 406. Most actives are synthetic and insoluble in water which makes formulating natural and clear formulations impossible. With Aevum Vita 406, these problems are a thing of the past – create natural and clear anti-dandruff formulations without any toxicity issues.

  • leave on: 0.5-5%
  • rinse off as a surfactant: 0.5-10%
